According to a report at the end of October, coffee prices will continue to rise over supply concerns. The report, written by Agrimoney.com, showed coffee prices hitting a 13-year high due to concerns over heavy rainfall in Colombia and Vietnam that could threaten the upcoming crop. These heavy rains, combined with concern over a weak crop in Brazil, will most certainly continue to drive prices up at coffee retailers across the country. We have already seen some of the price increases from our suppliers (some of the highest we have seen in years), and we are trying our best to keep from passing those cost increases to our customers, but we have already had to raise some of our prices and will more than likely have to raise others if this shortage continues. We have seen the coffee market begin to turn around slightly, and bulk prices have decreased slightly, though an article in the first week of November suggests that may only be temporary. However, rest assured that when the market settles and the prices come back down, our prices will also return to lower levels so that our valued customers always receive the best deal possible on their coffee and associated products.
